Maree has been Chief Executive Officer of Australian Communities Foundation (ACF) since 2015.
Australian Communities Foundation vision is to activate a nation of givers to create a fairer Australia. The organisation offers individuals, families, groups, corporates, and not-for-profit organisations an easy and satisfying way of giving something of real value back to the community that they care about.
Each year the Foundation responsibly invests its $100M+ corpus and directs millions of dollars in grants to charitable organisations to ensure they continue operating, can pursue strategic initiatives and fund their most critical projects. Since incorporation, ACF has made more than 6000 grants and distributed more than $80 million to Australian and International communities.
Maree also holds Non-Executive Director roles at Australian Community Philanthropy and Australian Progress. Prior to this role, spent twenty years working in the For-Purpose sector including family services, mental health, youth, and drug and alcohol organisations.
In her spare time, Maree is a passionate gardener and a Mum of 3 boys – 5, 12 and 14.
